Key Features & Attractions

Chichen Itza

No Booking Necessary No purchase necessary

Chichén Itzá is a large Mayan archaeological site and one of the most notable and recognized landmarks on the Yucatán. The focal point of the ruins is the pyramid-like El Castillo that was once used by Mayans as a temple to worship. Due to its beautiful ruins, it is overcrowded, but worth the wait to try to get a spot of the view.

Isla Mujeres

No Booking Necessary No purchase necessary

At Isla Mujeres (Island of Women), there are a few sites worth checking out. One is the Hacienda Mundaca, the ruined mansion of a 19th-century slave trader named Mundaca. The mysterious death of the house's owner adds to the colonial estate's haunting charm. Isla Mujeres also remains popular for its sea turtles, and you can glimpse the creatures at the local tortugranja, or turtle farm.

Delphinus Dreams Cancun

Add-On Available During Booking Tickets start at $69 per person

Operating out of the Dreams Cancún Hotel in the Hotel Zone, Delphinus Dreams Cancún allows visitors to swim with dolphins. The facility offers five different programs, each focused on a different type of interaction with the dolphins. Many visitors account the amazing staff experience saying they “know what they are doing” and make the interaction enjoyable.

El Rey Ruins

No Booking Necessary No purchase necessary

These ruins are extremely accessible to visitors, and the site's small size makes it easy to see it in a short time. But for many visitors, the ruins themselves are not the primary attraction: People travel to El Rey to interact with the hundreds of iguanas that have invaded the former Mayan town.

Interactive Aquarium

Add-On Available During Booking Tickets start at $14 per person

This family-friendly attraction takes a hands-on approach to educating visitors about local marine life. From touch tanks to dolphin swims to shark feedings, you'll get up close and personal with several underwater dwellers.

Reviews for Cancun, Mexico

Most laid-back vacation ever

Posted by Shane Mendoza on January 17th, 2015

I don't know Spanish so I was a little anxious about the language barrier but there was almost always an English speaking person around when we needed something on our trip, and MileStone had all our plans set up so that we never ran into any problems.

Great for senior trips

Posted by Terrell Jacobs on February 2nd, 2015

My daughter and her friends took their senior trip to Cancun and she told me it was the best few days of her life. They were able to get a group discount rate and it just worked out really well!
