Steven's Story

Steven R.

After coming home from serving the army for so long, Steven wanted to live a normal life again. However, he found it difficult due to his PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder). After witnesses one of his partners in the army be killed by a bomb, he has since had that memory ingrained in his mind. The disorder has prevented him from fully being able to work and fear going out in the social world.

Steven fell back into the drinking habit he adopted back in his army days, but this time his glasses doubled. The alcohol gave him the confidence to face the real world and start building a new life, but friends began to notice his slight slurred speech and staggered walking. One of them suggested he attend the support group he has been seeing for a year now. Steven was hesitant, but accepted the offer.
